Apart from treating cancer patients, Dr. Unmesh Takalkar is closely involved in ensuring the successful operations of United CIIGMA Hospital and mentoring the internal team of specialist medical consultants.
Dr. Unmesh Takalkar is also the founder of the not for profit organisation, CIIGMA Health Foundation, which is actively engaged in hosting educational surgery sessions, creating education content for medical students and also treating patients who cannot afford specialised procedures.
Dr. Unmesh Takalkar had successfully treated me for Breast Cancer. I had undergone surgery and chemotherapy. It was a very stressful experience but under Dr. Takalkar’s guidance and instructions, I was able to survive cancer. It has been 5 years since my surgery and I have never been healthier. Dr. Takalkar also gave me the opportunity to work for his hospital and I would be grateful to him forever.
