About Dr. Unmesh Takalkar

Born in Jalna, Dr. Takalkar completed his education in Aurangabad. He was a gold Medalist in MBBS and later went on to specialise in Surgery. After gaining many years of experience treating patients, he decided to venture into entrepreneurship and founded the renowned United CIIGMA Hospital in Marathwada in 2012. In 2017, Dr. Takalkar was awarded Fellowship by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE, USA).

Marathwada is an underdeveloped region and being Dr. Unmesh Takalkar’s native, he was well aware of the deficits in its medical industry. His vision was to set-up a state-of-art medical facility in Marathwada region. He firmly believed that a clinician can best honor humanity by providing finest medical care without social/economic bias. With this mindset he started his first venture in the field of medicine – CIIGMA Hospital which operated on principal modus operandi- Service to Humanity, Service to God.

Changing trends in the medical field and increasing complications in patient pool demands not only an at-par medical facility but also a competent team. The concept of never ending pursuit for excellence inspired by his patrons – Dr. D Nageshwar Reddy and Dr. Suresh Advani strengthened his confidence to surpass peers. Continued association with such legendary figures and dedicated hard work of 25 years has seen his small venture flourish into CIIGMA Group of Hospitals which includes:

  • CIIGMA Nursing Home (2008)
  • United CIIGMA Hospital (2013)
  • United CIIGMA Nursing Home (2018)

With modern diagnostic facilities, various financial support systems for patients and over 50 specialist doctors he has taken a sincere step towards healthier India.
